OR-Specific Analytics Filtering
Filter your General Analytics data by selecting one or more specific operating rooms. This targeted view helps administrators evaluate performance metrics for only the rooms that matter to your analysis.
When rooms are selected, the entire analytics dashboard updates automatically to reflect metrics exclusively for those selected ORs, enabling more focused performance analysis.

Dual Utilization KPIs for Enhanced Analysis

Open Utilization %
Calculates efficiency only for operating rooms where at least one procedure was performed, providing an accurate view of active room productivity.
Formula: Total Actual Operating Time ÷ Total Available Operating Time (only for rooms with procedures)

Fixed Utilization %
Includes all operating rooms in calculations, regardless of whether they were used, giving a complete picture of overall facility utilization.
Formula: Total Actual Operating Time ÷ Total Available Operating Time (all rooms)

Desktop Access for PreOP Nurses
PreOp nurses can now access Ospitek's preoperative workflows directly from desktop or laptop computers. The new PreOp Patients tab provides identical functionality to the tablet interface.

The "OR Room Ready" button appears after pressing "Cleaning Complete" to capture OR prepping time and display it on internal screens.

Late OR Entry Indicator
A red "LATE" tag now appears on both Pre-Op tablets and internal screens when a patient is late entering the OR at their scheduled time, providing immediate visual alerts for schedule disruptions.

This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled upon request for iPads/TVs.

Flip Room Alert System
A new button on the OR tablet allows staff to alert the need to prepare corresponding flip rooms. When pressed, a "Flip Room" tag appears on the Operations Screen, streamlining room-to-room communication with a single click.
This alert automatically disappears once the patient exits the OR, ensuring timely notification without manual removal.

This feature is configurable and can be enabled upon request.

Ready for Surgery
Captures the exact moment when a patient is fully prepared to begin the surgical procedure.

This timestamp is optional and can be enabled upon request.
Surgeon Enters Room
Records when the surgeon physically enters the operating room, allowing for precise tracking of physician presence and timing analysis.

Ready for Anesthesia PreOP Button
New Timestamp Tracking
Marks when a patient is prepared for block/anesthesia in the preoperative area, creating a new trackable timestamp in the patient journey.
Analytics Integration
A corresponding bar graph has been added to General Analytics displaying the average time from "Ready for Anesthesia" to "Ready for OR," providing valuable insight into this critical preparation phase.

Configure Min/Max Values
Set threshold values in Global Analytics Config to exclude statistical outliers that can skew your analysis.
Consistent Reporting
Filtered outliers are now consistently reflected across all analytics reports, including v1 and v2 report formats.

Automatic Patient Discharge
This feature automatically discharges patients from PACU or PostOp if they haven't been manually discharged within 24 hours, preventing charting errors and ensuring patients don't remain active in the system due to missed actions.
When Applied
  • Patient not manually discharged from PACU or PostOp
  • Patient unintentionally left in system for 24+ hours
How It Works
  • System automatically processes discharge after 24 hours
  • No staff action required

Auto-discharge is only enabled upon request to Ospitek.

Anesthesiologist & OR Notes Editing
Administrators and Operations Managers can now edit Anesthesiologist Notes directly from the OR Schedule screen Timeline View, enhancing documentation flexibility.
Access Path:

  1. Click on Anesthesiologist Notes
  1. Choose from dropdown or enter custom note
  1. Click 'Save' to apply changes
